Terroir & Tradition at Home is our most personal experience.
Created for guests who care as much about cultural conversation as they do about food and wine, the evening brings Nigerian cuisine into dialogue with carefully selected French wines. Our partner chef prepares a seasonal multi-course dinner inspired by Nigerian flavors and traditions, while our sommelier guides guests through pairings drawn from our curated French portfolio.
Suya alongside a structured Cotes du Rhone. Egusi paired with white Burgundy. Jollof rice with a mineral-driven Provence rose. Familiar flavors become newly expressive when seen through the lens of wine.
The experience takes place privately, in your hotel residence, apartment, or selected venue, allowing the evening to feel intimate, relaxed, and deeply personal. This is not a restaurant concept recreated elsewhere. It is a table designed specifically for your group, shaped around conversation, hospitality, and discovery.
Ideal for couples, private celebrations, visiting creatives, diaspora travelers, curious wine lovers, and guests looking for a Paris experience that feels genuinely original.
Terroir & Tradition began with a simple question: what happens when Nigerian cuisine is given the same thoughtful wine conversation traditionally reserved for European food cultures?
For many Nigerian and West African guests, this becomes the first time they experience familiar dishes paired intentionally with French wine. For non-African guests, it is often an introduction to Nigerian cuisine through one of the world’s most established wine traditions. The exchange moves in both directions.
This is the experience that most clearly defines the Echo Experiences point of view, cross-cultural without performance, rooted in hospitality, and shaped by life between Paris and the African diaspora. We created it because we could not find it anywhere else, and because we believed the conversation deserved a table of its own.

Arrival & First Pour
Guests arrive to a quietly prepared table, with the first wine already being poured. The evening begins conversationally, introductions, the story behind the concept, and an opening pairing designed to ease guests into the rhythm of the experience.
The First Course
The chef introduces the first dish tableside, speaking briefly about the inspiration behind it and the Nigerian flavors shaping the course. The sommelier follows with the pairing, not as a lecture, but as an invitation into why the wine works with the dish.
The Conversation Deepens
As courses progress, guests begin to experience familiar flavors differently. Spice, acidity, texture, smoke, and tannin create unexpected connections between cuisines and regions. The atmosphere remains intimate and relaxed, with space for conversation rather than performance.
Signature Pairings
Midway through the evening, the pairings become more expressive, often featuring combinations guests would never expect to work until they taste them together. This is where the experience becomes memorable: not simply the quality of the meal, but the surprise of discovery.
Final Course & Closing Glass
The evening slows naturally into its final course and closing wine. Guests leave not only having shared a dinner, but with a new perspective on both Nigerian cuisine and French wine culture, and the ways they speak to one another.
