The Louvre without the overwhelm.
Most visitors spend three hours at the Louvre and leave exhausted, having seen the Mona Lisa through 40 phones and missed everything that should have moved them. The museum holds 35,000 works across 72,735 square metres. Trying to see it without direction is not a cultural experience, it’s an endurance test.
Our guide is a licensed conferencier with deep knowledge of the collection. In two focused hours, we move through the works that genuinely reward attention, the Winged Victory, the Venus de Milo, the Italian masters, and the rooms that most people miss.
The Echo Experiences difference
There is a room in the Louvre’s permanent collection that most first-time visitors never see. We take you there before the Mona Lisa. It changes everything that comes after. We keep the details for the tour itself.

Two hours with someone who knows where to look.
Licensed guide-conferencier: Our guide holds the French Carte Professionnelle de Guide-Conferencier, the legal requirement for guiding inside the Louvre. Deep specialist knowledge of the collection.
Louvre entry tickets: Pre-booked and included. No queuing at the window. We meet at the Pyramid and go straight in.
Expert-guided visit of the permanent collection: A curated path through the Louvre’s highlights, adapted to what’s open and accessible on the day. Your guide builds the best possible tour around whatever the museum offers.
The stop most tours overlook: A permanent gallery in the Louvre that rarely appears on standard itineraries. We take every group there before the Italian masters. We keep the details for the tour itself.
Venus de Milo & Winged Victory – Greek & Hellenistic sculpture
Two of the most celebrated works of the ancient world. Your guide explains not just what they are, but why they still stop people in their tracks, and what most visitors miss by looking from the wrong angle.
The Grande Galerie – Paintings & masterworks
The Louvre’s great corridor of Italian masters, Raphael, Caravaggio, Titian, Veronese. Works that shaped how the Western world pictures itself. Seen properly, not passed through.
A room worth finding – The stop most visitors miss
A permanent gallery rarely on any tourist itinerary. We take every group there. We keep the details for the tour itself, but by the time you leave it, the rest of the Louvre looks different.
The Mona Lisa & her story – The world’s most famous painting
The most visited work in the world, and with the right context, one of the most genuinely fascinating. Your guide gives you that context before you stand in front of her.
Prefer the Louvre exclusively to yourselves?
Need a pick-up from your hotel?
Do I need to book Louvre tickets separately?
No, tickets are included and pre-booked. We meet at the Pyramid at Cour Napoleon and enter together. No window queuing.
Is the guide licensed to guide inside the Louvre?
Yes. Our guide holds the Carte Professionnelle de Guide-Conferencier, the French government accreditation required to guide legally inside classified monuments, including the Louvre. This is not optional in France, and it’s why our tours are compliant and our commentary is unrestricted.
Will we be sharing the tour with other guests?
The standard experience is a semi-private tour, a small curated group, capped at 6 guests. You may be joined by other travellers booked onto the same session. If you’d prefer the tour exclusively to your group, our private option is available. Reserve using the form on this page.
The Louvre is huge. How do you cover it in two hours?
We don’t try to. Two focused hours with the right guide is more valuable than five exhausted ones without direction. Our route is curated to include the works that genuinely reward attention, not everything, but the right things. First-time visitors consistently leave feeling they’ve seen the Louvre rather than survived it.
What is the special stop you mention?
We’d rather tell you in person. It’s a permanent room in the Louvre that most visitors walk past without knowing it exists. We save the details for the tour, part of what makes arriving there for the first time feel like a discovery rather than a briefing. Book your tour and you’ll find out.
Is this suitable for children?
Yes, with the right expectations. Children aged 10 and above typically engage well with a curated, story-led approach. For younger children, we recommend the private option, which allows us to adjust the pace and tone. Please mention ages in your booking notes.
Is this suitable for guests with reduced mobility?
The tour involves two hours of walking and standing on hard gallery floors. Guests with significantly reduced mobility may find the full route challenging. For an adapted experience, fewer galleries, a slower pace, seated stops where possible, we recommend the private option. Please mention your requirements at booking.
